Tax Day 2018: April 17th?
Once again this year, you get an ever-so-slight reprieve on filing your taxes. Tax Day, usually April 15th, is on the 17th this year.
In case you don’t want to Google the answer yourself… here is the ‘why’.
April 15th is a Sunday this year. Normally, that would push Tax Day to the 16th. But Washington DC celebrates Emancipation Day on April 16th. So, Tax Day moves over one more day to the 17th. Pretty simple, right?
Have no fear, there will be just 363 days until it returns to April 15th in 2019.
