The New Tax Bill may be Bad for Small Business

Facebooktwittergoogle_pluspinterestlinkedininstagram

There is something hidden and insidious in both versions of the upcoming tax bill. Meals and entertainment are being eliminated as a deduction. This is a HUGE deal for small business.

Small business, unlike their big business counterparts, does not advertise on the Super Bowl, World Series or on the Olympics. They use belly to belly advertising. They meet with prospects over lunch or dinner. Denying them this deduction is a big deal and should not be part of the upcoming tax bill. I suggest that if you have any Republican Congressmen or Senators that you write them and complain about this “hidden” change.
